Description:

Sea-Worn Brick Paperweight Pen Holder

“I created this coastal-inspired paperweight & pen holder for those times when you are inside at your desk, and you want to bring a little of the coast to you. The first time I saw a one of these brick pieces washed ashore on the beach, I thought how perfectly they would hold my brushes and pens while I worked at my desk. I was inspired by the same sea which shaped them into these beautiful rustic shapes, and so they each come with a hand painted maritime scene wrapped right around. From a little red and white lighthouse on one side, to a little sailboat and tiny gulls soaring above the sea on the other side, you have sea views all around.” Tracy Beattie

Makes a perfect buy for any coast loving person who loves to write, draw or paint.

Materials

The raw materials used in this piece started life as a building structural brick with holes. At some point in its journey, the brick, no longer part of a building, ended up in into the sea, where it was worn & shaped by the waves before being washed up on local North Coast beaches. The sea worn brick has been sealed and hand painted along the sides; the original hole in the brick has been sealed at the bottom, so the hole can now be used to hold a pen, pencil, or paint brush.

One of a Kind

Please note that each item is hand painted onto upcycled brick, which has been shaped by the sea.

Presentation

Each sea-worn brick Paperweight comes with a Crafty Coast tag tied to it, explaining the origins of the raw materials, being shaped & worn by the local seas. A small silver Crafty Coast sticker is placed at the bottom of the hand painted brick.

Colour reproduction

While every effort has been made to show accurate colour production, due to differences in individual screens, the actual colour of your items may vary slightly from the colour on your screen.
