Hanging Slate - This Too Shall Pass

Crafty Coast

£7.49

"This too shall pass..."

Sometimes we need a gentle reminder that the rain and the clouds will pass & that there is a rainbow waiting on the other side. The raindrops falling from this cloud are painted in different colours to remind us of that rainbow that will surely come when the storm passes. It might not be today or tomorrow, but this too shall pass.

Painted on sea worn slate found washed up on local beaches after being shaped & worn by the waves. Each piece is hand painted, with a hole carefully drilled in the top & hung by a rustic string.

Materials

Painted on sea worn slate found washed up on local beaches after being shaped & worn by the waves. Each piece is hand painted, with a hole carefully drilled in the top & hung by a rustic string, so it can be hung anywhere.

The slate from this piece started life as part of a slate roof, & at some point in its journey it made it into the sea. It was then worn & shaped by the waves before being washed up on local North Coast beaches.

One of a Kind

Please note that each item is hand painted onto upcycled slate, which has been shaped by the sea. Therefore, no two items will be exactly the same & will differ somewhat from original pictures, making your item completely unique.

Presentation

Each sea slate mini art painting comes with a Crafty Coast tag tied to the string, explaining the origins of the raw materials, being shaped & worn by the local seas. It is supplied inside a light blue organza presentation bag, with a Crafty Coast tag. A small silver Crafty Coast sticker is placed on the back of the slate.

Colour reproduction

While every effort has been made to show accurate colour production, due to differences in individual screens, the actual colour of your items may vary slightly from the colour on your screen.

All Crafty Coast items are personally designed and made in Tracy Beattie’s studio on Northern Ireland's beautiful North Coast.
