Inspiration "Cocooning: The Time when we all Slowed Down"
As the pandemic began to take hold and lockdown became imminent, I thought of how caterpillars slow right down, and cocoon until they become butterflies. I wanted to create something positive to reflect some of what is happening right now in this strange time we find ourselves in. A time where we are staying physically apart, but never before have we been so united in our experience. A time where we have had to slow down, & take some time, whether we like it or not. A time of waiting, and just being. A time when so many are relying on so few. A time when we have so much to owe our frontline workers who are bringing us deliveries, food, care, help and medicine. A time where we should never forget the lessons we are learning right now. A time where one day we will emerge, and because of the changes taking place during this period, when we do emerge, we will fly.
On the mount, the words "Cocooning 2020 – The time when we all slowed down " will be handwritten in pencil. The Print From Tracy Beattie’s original artwork, the prints are produced using long-term fade resistant pigment inks and smooth matte archival quality paper.
The Mount
They are mounted in a soft white, high quality acid free, conservation quality mount, with a 1.4mm bevel cut aperture, cream core, pH neutral board. This is finished with a 1mm PH neutral cream core backing board. Each print is individually packaged in a 40 micron cellophane bag, with a Crafty Coast sticker on the bottom right corner of the removable cellophane bag.
Size
The outer dimensions of the mount measures 10x8 inches, while the inner aperture featuring the print measures 7x5 inches. The mounted print is ready for framing , and easily fits in a standard 10x8" frame. Please note frames are not included. Colour reproduction While every effort has been made to show accurate colour production, due to differences in individual screens, the colour of the prints may vary slightly from the colour on your screen.
