Ballycastle is a seaside resort on Northern Ireland's famous North Coast. It regularly features high in the of The Sunday Times annual Best Places to Live in Northern Ireland lists. The mile-long sandy beach is popular with families, walkers, dog walkers and shell hunters. The area is steeped in myths & legends from ancient Ireland, the most famous of which is arguably the Children of Lir, where four siblings were turned to swans and destined to spend 300 years right here on the Sea of Moyle.
At the end of every August, the town swells as young and old gather for the famous 'Ould Lammas Fair'
On the mount the words 'Beautiful Ballycastle, N. Ireland' will be hand written in pencil.
